Picnik.com, recently purchased by Google, is a free online photo editing website that offers advanced editing features at economical pricing. Yet many people will do fine with their basic editing controls. The photo shown here was modified from the original (below) using the pencil sketch feature of Picnik.

Picnik is a nice resource for artists to have in their virtual toolkit.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is probably one of those movies you’ll either love or hate, but all will agree that the movie charts new territory as an adaptation of the comic book series Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O’Malley. Set in Toronto, Canada, the movie stars Michael Cera and a lineup of other new talent.

With ratings of 8.2 out of 10 on IMDB and 81% on Rotton Tomatoes, it seems the movie has gained considerable acceptance among many.
